OUR PHILOSOPHY

Once your dog joins our daycare we like to think of it as joining the "Doggo Family". We care deeply about your dogs wellbeing in the long term. While they are with us we want them to be happy, relaxed and good mannered. We ensure that all dogs are behaving in a way that ensures they can interact with dogs of all sizes, ages and personalities.

This means that dogs will learn to greet, initiate play, communicate and exist around each other happily. Every dog is different and like people, make friendships and relationships. Dogs can recognise rude behaviour (jumping up/on dogs, mounting and non consensual play just being a few examples) at Doggo we monitor all dogs to ensure that there is harmony amongst the group and try to encourage and teach them skills (with the help of our other Doggo's too!) that they can take home and into the outside world.

We like to work closely with you as owners and will advise on any training we think is needed to be carried on outside of Doggo. With this in mind this may mean that your dog may fail our assessment process or even be dismissed from daycare at a later date. We give every dog a chance and work with them on training and encouraging favourable behaviours.

If we think that attending daycare is detrimental to your dogs training/attitude  or could potentially cause issues for you in the future we will recommend that your dog takes a break until the issue is resolved or say that your dog is not suitable for daycare. This would be no refection on your dog, it is probably a tough decision for us too but the dogs long term outcome is priority for us, even if it means us loosing them from daycare.

Every dog is an individual no matter how long they have been attending our daycare, we are always working with them and trying to make them the best Doggo they can be.
